Day 4 ~ ABK Fujimae Dormitory

My ABK college provide dorm for oversea student to study here in Japan. There are total of 6 dorms to let students choose their favourite. ABK dorm will be the nearest to the school, as it’s just at the upstairs of ABK School. I am staying at ABK Fujimae dorm which it’s take 7 minutes walk from dorm to school. And the rest of the dorm are very far from school.

There is security lock to protect girls in the dorm.

After you enter, on your left there is a mirror easy for girls to tidy up before leaving the dorm. On the right there are shoe racks and mail-box for every of the room.

My dorm is restricted only female. I am staying in a single room located at the 5th floor with shared facilities. Shared facilities included toilet, shower, kitchen, telephone, coin-operated laundry, vacuum cleaner and iron.

From the entrance you go straight will reach the dining hall and kitchen. Beside of the kitchen here, every floor have a kitchen.

In Japan, you are not allow to simply throw any rubbish in to one rubbish bin. They are very strict on this. You have to throw the rubbish accordingly to the rubbish bin which categories and throw the rubbish outside of the dorm according to the day stated.

Next, we come to the shared shower room which located at 2nd floor. My dorm have two kind of shower room, one is located at 2nd floor and another located at the 3rd floor which I will show later.  This is the place where you wan to put your changing clothes here before entering the shower room. But girls seldom use it.

And also a big bath tub beside the shower room. But I think girls seldom use it.

Then we come to the shower room at 3rd floor. Before reaching the shower room, we will see the 100 yen coin-operated washing machine and dryer.

Going straight a little bit more, shower room on the left and laundry doing place on the right. This shower room is different from the previous, it come with a door and shower room showed just now is just come with curtain.

This is the place where you can dry your laundry without paying 100 yen to the dryer.

OK. Lets move to the toilet which nearby my room. As I mention just now, every floor have a kitchen. It located just before you enter to the toilet. Left will be the basin, and right will be the tiny kitchen.

Passing by the basin and kitchen, you will come to the toilet. Their toilet is different from Malaysia.

And finally, lets see my room. My room is located at the 5th floor. Second room of the 5th floor. Very near to the kitchen, basin, toilet, stairs and lift. I am so lucky.

This is the door step, I put my toiletries beside the door because i dun wan my room to get wet. On the right side, there is a shoe rack for me to my shoes. I put some kitchen stuff and maggie on one side, boots and dust wipe the other side.

In my room, I have a bed, study table, chair, closet, air-conditioner/heater, and internet access.

This is the picture of my closet, is Japanese style with sliding door.

And this is the view see out from my window. Is a big sakura tree. Because there is a park behind of my dorm. And my room is facing the park.

That’s all for my dorm.

Oh ya, about the fees for my dorm. It is 54000yen every month. So is roughly RM1700-1800 per month. It’s very expensive to stay in Tokyo. You can get cheaper if you stay a little bit more farer from city.
